We held a Luncheon there for 55 customers which we took 7 tables you can BYOB, the biggest problem was a group that large it was hard for the late arrivals to find parking spaces, so it is better to go early to make sure you can get parking. They are known for the largest Crispy Gau gee which is packed full with meat, which came out nice and crispy and hot. The noodles and fried rice came on last so there was a lot left over because everyone was eating the other dishes, so better to inform the waitress that you want the fried rice and noodles first before the other dishes. The beef broccoli was fresh and the meat was tender with a nice oyster sauce. The shrimp and broccoli were good, but should have gotten shrimp with vegetables instead. The cashew and fried tofu with vegetables was okay. The Chinese chicken salad was good the dressing is on the light side and the shredded chicken was flavorful. Fried rice was good but should have brought it out earlier. Crispy chicken with won ton was very tasty and flavorful, but if you are on a low sodium diet don't order it or let them know little or low salt. Service for items like chop sticks, Shoyu, Sauce dish, mustard or chili sauce you might have to get your own or you will be waiting for a while. They only have 1 toilet, because they haven't fixed the other restroom that has been broken for a while, make sure to lock the door when using. For groups or large party they charge automatically 18 percent tip. They do accept charge, cash

Affordable and tasty for a well established Chinese restaurant in the Waimalu area of Aiea. Takeout is always busy. Dine in can easily accommodate a party of 10-12. The wait staff understands English well so don't be afraid to describe what you like if you don't recall the name of the dishes This is one on my favorite Chinese restaurants to frequent when I'm looking for a bowl of wonton saimen

A Chinese food staple if in the waimalu shopping center. Food was delicious from shrimp canton, kauyuk, roast pork and bitter melon, steam buns, roast duck, house noodles, and don't forget the super sized crispy gau gee! Definitley delicious and good ohana style eating. Service was ok. Ambiance is family style mom n pop style restaurant.

Stopped by for Beef Broccoli Cake Noodles. I didn't even realize the prices have gone up since the August menu I had. Otherwise, I would have gotten the most current menu. Can't keep up with the prices at this chop suey now since it's being raised more than usual. Still, reasonable for the generous amount. My Beef Broccoli Cake Noodles was the first time trying it. I must say it was very tasty. I'd order that again. One thing about Waimalu Chop Suey is someone will always walk up to greet you when you walk in. They are attentive and not preoccupied.
